Module 3 – Soft Glam
Hello Loves!
I sure you learned so much in the last section that you are chomping at the bit to get a bit more adventurous! Well now we start to build on the fundamentals of the last section and go a bit smokie on the eyes and a bit more dramatic on the skin too.
In this section I go really in-dept on the principles of the blend so have your pen and paper at the ready. I do have some text in the video so if you need to pause to read it, please do rather than missing anything.
Getting your head around the principles of the blend is going to be the hardest part to start off with but I promise once you “get” it you’re flying because every single look you will do from here on in will follow the same principles.
From this look forward we won’t be setting our eye base with powder before applying shadow like we did in the last look. I find that by applying shadow straight onto a tacky base (rather than on a dry base) your shadows pop so much more and the levels of your blend are a lot more visible. This technique does take getting used to which is why I go into so much detail but it’s so worth it to get a really professional finish after.
In this module I also take breaks in between the demo to go through the types of brushes I would recommend for you to have whether you are a professional or if you just want this for yourself. The only difference I would recommend to professionals is to have more of the same brushes in case you have back-to-back clients and you don’t have time to clean your brushes in between.
I will ask you to follow the same structure as the last time..
- Watch the video tutorial and take notes
- Practice
- Watch the video again with the printout of my worksheet.
- Answer all the questions on the worksheet as you are watching the video.
- Practice again and again an again and…you get the gist!
When you feel like you are ready to go onto the next module I would recommend printing out a new worksheet and answering the questions without looking at the video or your original worksheet. If you can answer them all without hesitation you have nailed it!
It may take a while for your hands to catch up with your brain but keep practicing and it will all come together.
I hope you enjoy!
Lots of love,
Jeanette xx
