Make up for Beginners

I thoroughly enjoyed Jeanette’s course, would highly recommend. I have done other makeup courses over the years but this one was by far superior, such attention to detail, felt very personal. Jeanette is a friendly, funny and genuine person and a fantastic teacher. 

I love the fact with the online course, you have it to look back on time and time again. Everything is broken down into steps which is such a help. Jeanette explains everything in a simplistic manner which makes the different makeup techniques much easier to grasp.

I have followed Jeanette for years, I adore her style of makeup and have always wanted to train with her. I have started the Pro Package of 12 course modules, and I am blown away. The detail in the videos and worksheets is unbelievable. It’s incredible how much she has packed into each module. Her dedication to her students is heartwarming, and her down to earth style of learning has really made me relax into the modules, I have already taken so much from it, and have started to see an improvement in my applications due to learning her techniques. It has me excited to continue to learn, and had made me fall in love with the makeup industry again!

I am presently in the middle of doing Jeanette’s 12 module online makeup training. I’ve done a lot of different online course’s the last few months and found I was left disappointed with what was put out there. I will just say now, weather you know absolutely nothing about makeup or you are an artist looking to upskill, improve and learn new techniques this course will NOT disappoint you. Jeanette really has such a unique way of teaching that she explains everything in a very easy to understand way. I felt like I was sitting there with her doing my makeup. Her method of watch, practice and then watch again with the worksheets she provides, really makes all that information stick in your head. You really begin to understand exactly why you do this, this way and why that works that way. There is so much valuable information to go along with the actual videos and worksheets too. Already feel like I’ve improved my skills so much and I’m only half way through. This isn’t just a quick course. This is a very professional course that has been well thought out, there is so much information in this course that it covers absolutely everything. I am so impressed with how this course is laid out. Thanks Jeanette for giving us all the opportunity to learn from you.

My name is Tasha and I’m just going to talk about my experience from my 1:1 makeup lesson with the outstanding Jeanette Cronin nearly a year ago. I have been talking about going to her for ages!! But as time went on I just ended up putting it off and of course “I’ll book her another time” I’m sure a lot of us can relate to this unfortunate attitude lol. So for Christmas my boyfriend booked a full day course for me with Jeanette. The excitement was real!! This day included two full makeup looks of your choice and you also get a very of completion at the end. If you didn’t have any looks in mind and there was something specific that you wanted to work on  whether it be for yourself or on your clients if you are a makeup artist yourself. I myself didn’t have my heart set on any specific look. I told Jeanette what I wanted and needed to work on and we took it from there. All I can say is that you will never “know it all” . Since my training  I’ve changed my technique completely!! My blending has improved so much from just taking in everything from this day. Although I will never be overly confident with my work (Jeanette can absolutely vouch for this for me lol) as I always believe there is room for improvement ! But I’ve also learned to be proud of my work and how far I’ve come, but at the same timeI like to pin-point things from my own makeup looks and see where I can do better next time. I honestly can’t recommend Jeanette enough, she’s the most funniest, bubbliest human ever!! Anyone that follows her will know this, but to meet her in person really is the best. The passion and talent that she has for makeup is an absolute gift from God. She puts so much time, effort and just complete patience into going through every single detail throughout the  whole makeup look. She will ‘repeatedly” explain every flick of the brush and  uses rather “unusual” words to get her point across!! Lol which makes it so much funnier and easier to take in! I had such a great laugh that day with both Jeanete and her stunning model Joanne! I have definitely achieved what I was hoping to from this day course, even on my clients my blending has massively improved. I’m so grateful to Jeanette for this and can’t wait to do her online course as I have enjoyed my last lesson so much and learned loads. For anyone looking to improve their skills, as I’ve said previously whether it be for yourself or your clients I would highly recommend this course with Jeanette! Once you have an interest in makeup, you will not be disappointed. Believe me a lot can be learned as Jeanette explains things so well and you have a cert at the end which is also a  bonus. I will be showing pictures of what my makeup was like before the lesson and what it’s like now and the makeup look the day of the lesson so will be showing that also. Hi my name is Hazel and I just wanted to tell you about my experience of doing a course with Jeanette Cronin. I always loved makeup, absolutely adored it! I’d be on Instragram scrolling and I’d see all these looks and I’d say “I’m going to go home and do that now”. I’d get home, throw all the eyeshadow on my eyes, thinking I’d get to that end look and then half way through the night the eyeshadow who be half way down my face! It just never worked. I could never understand how to get to that end result. So training with Jeanette has shown me how to get form Step 1 to the end result. It was absolutely amazing. She just simplifies everything, she really takes acre of you. She fills you with confidence..absolutely fills you with confidence. You learn so so much – so much so that you can look at a look on Instagram now and say “i know exactly where to go with that” and that happens literally as you’re doing the course with her. You learn so much so so fast. She also teaches you the hygiene of everything which is really important even if you’re just doing the makeup course for yourself and your own face – to know how to take care of your brushes. I genuinely can’t recommend her enough – absolutely brilliant! So if you’re thinking that you really want to learn how to do makeup properly Jeanette is your woman. X

Jeannette is the queen of make up so I knew her courses would represent just how talented she is, and it did not disappoint! The modules are packed for of information and are divided into sections to make it easy to figure out what you’d like to learn that day. The videos are extremely helpful and really detailed. Exactly what you want to perfect the look you are going for. I would recommend the courses to anyone.

I entered in to the make up world in 2018 and began my training with Jeanette. I never put a make up brush near anyone else’s face except by own prior to this so naturally enough I was so nervous. I was looking up make up courses and a lot of them were just too long for me. I wanted something that didn’t take years to complete but still had a high standard. I followed Jeanette on social media and heard her talking about the new VTCT course she was launching and honestly it was exactly what I wanted. The course was spread out over 12 weeks which is exactly what I was looking for and a kit worth €1000 was included. Literally ideal. 

The course was very practical, really hands on. We also had to complete a portfolio and answer questions but we did a little bit of theory every week and by week 12 it was only a matter of putting everything together which was a massive advantage. 

The course was unbelievable. We started off week one with brows, everything was broken down in to small pieces and once we all felt comfortable with each step we would then move on. We would get homework every week to do at least 3 different people. By week 12 it was just a matter of combining everything we had learned and practiced together. We had a group chat on Whatsapp so any questions we had were answered within minutes! So helpful. By week 4 the shaking in my hand from nerves eventually stopped  

The course is really like building blocks. Jeanette shows and talks you through the make up  in the demo, then you do it and I really found the more mistakes I made the more confident I was getting. Jeanette would tell you where you went wrong or show you what you could have done different and then you know how to avoid the same mistake in the future and more importantly how to fix it if it does happen again. Another massive advantage of the course was working on real people with different skin types and eye shapes every week and honestly what you learn from each person is invaluable. It really is how you learn. 

I shadowed (pestered) Jeanette on loads of weddings and Saturdays when she was back to back with make overs and every ounce of knowledge and experience she has gained over the years is the foundation of her VTCT course. She lets nothing out. Nothing. 

For me, the course was the best thing I ever did. I was so nervous starting out that I would get myself in to such a panic and Jeanette (all 5ft 3 of her) was there with her famous words ‘’Joanne it’s make up. You can take it off, you’ll be grand. Now go on.” It’s exactly what I needed. The less you think about and the more you just do it the better. I’m now a self employed make up artist and I absolutely adore what I do. I’d never be here without Jeanette and her course. 

Jeanette becomes your friend first, then your educator. Honestly, if Carlsberg did a make up course, this would be it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I already had some elements of beauty but I wanted to be able to offer my clients the full package when they visit my salon hence my desire to Up skill to a professional level.

Jeanette’s course was the only course I researched as her name and reputation within the makeup industry speaks for itself.

I remember my first morning being so nervous but Jeanette immediately dismissed those nerves and made me fall completely in love with makeup. Her teaching skills, her personality and her passion for her industry is quite simply amazing and I never wanted the course to end!

My name is Aoife O’Sullivan. I attended Jeanettes 12 week VCTC training course in Summer of 2019. I have always been obsessed with makeup and when I decided I wanted to be a makeup artist I immediately went online and began searching makeup courses in Ireland. Jeanettes name popped up everywhere and the reviews of her course spoke for themselves so I took the plunge and invested in the course and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Jeanette has such a in depth passion for makeup and was so hands-on throughout the whole course. She ensured no one completed each day without being confident that they had learned a new skill to perfection. Doing the course grew my makeup knowledge, skills and most importantly confidence. My favourite part about the whole course was meeting people with the same passions and goals as myself and also creating lifelong friends. Not only is Jeanette such an amazing teacher and mentor, but she genuinely has such an interest in each student and will be there for you whenever you need her even after the course is complete! 

If you are an aspiring makeup artist or someone looking to get a more in depth knowledge into makeup, I could not recommend choosing Jeanette enough. From my experience, not only did I have a great time for the duration of the course but left with makeup experience and skills that I’m proud of!

I was looking at doing Jeannettes  VTCT course for years and finally took the leap for 2020 and it was one of the best experiences I had ever done , Jeanette provides an open space where u can ask questions and really breaks down everything in a way that everyone can understand even if you don’t have a beauty background , she works at building your confidence  and opens your eyes to what you are capable of doing even when you can’t see the potential yourself towards the end we also had use of her online course and worksheets to further help us practise and improve beyond the course .  The online course is very similar to Jeanette’s teaching manner in person so she is there every step of the way . If you are on the fence about taking the course just do it you won’t regret it.
